About the teacher Lois Manza:
After trying all kinds of art and craft media, Lois realized beading was her favorite medium. She started beading in 2003 when she moved from Rhode Island to Bradenton, FL. Lois taught herself various beading stitches from beading magazines. She experiments with different beads and stitches to make her one- of- a -kind pieces. She has won several Blue Ribbons at the Manatee County Fair in the fine arts jewelry category, as well as the Susan Keen Award, which is presented to only five entrants across all arts and crafts categories. She is Vice President of the Florida West Coast Bead Society. As former owner of Creations by L and Seaside Jewelry, she has been commissioned to make custom pieces for people across the U.S.
Her biggest enjoyment, (besides spending time with her six grandchildren), is in teaching her craft to others. Lois taught classes in her shop on Anna Maria Island for eight years. Now she regularly teaches classes at the West Coast Bead Society and at bead stores in the area.
